Kim Hurst

Kim Hurst is the Earth Science Lead for the Office of International and Interagency Relations at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Headquarters. She is responsible for coordinating international activities for the Earth Science Division. In this capacity, she develops and negotiates international agreements with many different countries and intergovernmental organizations by working with both NASA’s traditional partners in Europe, Asia, and Canada, as well as with non-traditional emerging partners.

Prior to joining NASA, she served as the Chief of Staff for the Office of Systems Development at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). In that capacity, Ms. Hurst managed the day-to-day office operations and supported program formulation and program execution for multiple space flight projects.

Prior to her appointment at NOAA, Ms. Hurst served as a Business Manager for a specialty retailer of consumer electronics. Ms. Hurst was responsible for developing and implementing business plans and strategies to improve customer relationships for executives, business clients, and store management.

Ms. Hurst holds a Master of Science in Project Management from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies from Kent State University.
