Symposium Keynote: Pentagon Changes Approach to Satellite Design

Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall says military and intelligence agencies are looking to transform approaches to space technologies to develop a more resilient and flexible fleet of satellites in orbit. The transformation includes new, smaller communications and missile warning satellites that will augment massive satellites in geosynchronous orbit, which could become wartime targets. The continuing evolution of military space capabilities will be a key topic of the 2023 Space Symposium.
