20 Years of Partnership – International Space Station Partners

Monday, December 21, 2020 - 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EST

Starting in the year 2000, a new human adventure began. With the arrival of the Expedition 1 crew to the International Space Station (ISS), a continual human presence, off of planet Earth started. In the 20 years since, citizens from more than a dozen countries have visited the ISS to live, work and advance the human adventure and exploration of space. In recognizing those achievements, Space Foundation in partnership with NASA will host the senior leaders of the five primary partners – the United States, Canada, the European Space Agency, Japan and Russia to discuss the lessons learned of this engineering, diplomatic and operational partnership and what the future holds for continued international partnership.

This exclusive Space Symposium 365 program will also see the five primary partners be awarded Space Achievement Awards by Space Foundation recognizing their leadership and cooperative example as exemplified by the 20th Anniversary of Human Occupancy onboard the ISS.  Space City Films of Houston, Texas will also premiere its short film about the 20-year ISS human adventure during the program.
